About CMD's

The Colorado Mountain Dog is a developing breed of working livestock guardian specialized for small acreage farming.  A network of dedicated individuals and farms have worked for many years to develop the CMD, which will have keen guarding instincts, wander and bark less than some other types of LGD's, and will happily greet human visitors.  CMD's are discerning, intelligent, and independent thinkers.  For more information on this amazing breed:

Eros was bred by Royalty's Farm LLC and lives up to his namesake as the Greek God of Love.  Eros' size and deep alert bark make him seem imposing, yet his temperament is extremely gentle and loving.  He greets all guest happily and softly licks any face within reach.  He has a medium length, soft and sleek coat that does not mat and sloughs dirt easily.  Eros is a trusted guardian of poultry and goats, and an all around superb dog.

Eros sired a stunning litter with UUU Alki in January 2022.  He remains intact and is available for stud.  Contact us if you are interested in pairing him with your female!

29" at shoulder

97 lbs

Black Badger Faded to Blue

Pedigree includes Anatolian Shepherd & Great Pyrenees

Alki is named after the westernmost point of the Puget Sound, Alki Point, where I have my roots.  She is the dominant dog on the farm, but is kind and calming to visiting dogs and submits to our house dog, a 12 lb chiweenie.  She greets children happily and gently, sitting down immediately in front of them or leaning on their side for petting.  Alki soaks up attention and loves belly rubs and being groomed.  Her coat is medium length, silky soft, and does not mat.  Alki is an intelligent, independent, and loyal guardian of poultry, goats, and her humans.

Alki had a beautiful litter with Eros and was a great mom.  She is retired from breeding.

ZTA Palouse - G3 CMD

DOB 1.23.2022

Black Badger with Blue Ticking

130 lbs

Pedigree includes Anatolian Shepherd, Great Pyrenees, & small percentage Maremma

The name Palouse comes from the agricultural region of southeast Washington and it is speculated to mean "grassy expanse".  This boy is a giant!  He is a middle of the pack, happy go lucky soul who loves anyone who will scratch his bum.  Palouse moves with gentle deliberation and prefers to stay near the livestock housing until the pack needs his support elsewhere.   He is a goofy, loving, playful, and sensitive guardian with a very unique feature -  heterochromia

(one eye is dark brown and the other is gold).

Palouse is out of the 2022 RLT Eros x UUU Alki litter.

Snoqualmie is named after the Northwest Coast Salish word for "moon." She is loving, gentle, and greets people by sitting down and offering tender kisses on the chin. She is bonded to her goats and people and has a quiet manner unless alerting to a threat.  One of her favorite things to do while on duty is gently lick and clean goat ears.  Snoqualmie is a discerning barker, extremely observant and thoughtful, and a superb protector of chickens and goats of all ages.
